Family
owned and operated since 2005 the origins of Choker Films (formerly Rick
Johnson Productions) initially stemmed from a silly desire to make an Indie
film with a few close friends. What was once a hobby rapidly transformed
into a freelance video business. Life long residents of the community we
are dedicated to bringing affordable High Definition Video to everyone no
matter the budget. We are located in Vacaville California along the I-80 corridor. Sacramento is the closest major city
with a commute time of roughly 35 minutes and San
Francisco is approximately sixty miles to the southwest.

We
offer video production from conception to distribution, videographer,
photography, and video editing services as well. We also do a bit of prop,
set design/fabrication, custom costume creation, & miniature set
construction. Some examples are pictured below. Besides shooting
independent movie projects from time to time, we video all types of
sporting events, corporate functions, hunting/fishing keepsakes, music
videos, recitals, and pretty much anything else you want shot. Donato
Cocuzza (Retired Air Force) handles all of our computer needs. He is a
“Merlin” with PC’s. Donato also helps out with production whenever needed
whether that is constructing specialized platforms for camera set-ups,
props, sets, rigging, and the like. Dezirai Johnson (College student @
present :-) enjoys taking pictures a whole bunch and has a great eye to
boot, so she takes care of most of the photography aspect and on occasion
her dad Rick, will lend a hand. Rick Johnson (Owner) has a long list of
specialties besides Videography. Here’s a short list of past and present
activities; Union
Electrician Local 595 Alameda County & Federally licensed firearms
dealer of weapons and custom Gunsmithing. Published writer &
photographer. Practitioner of bladed weapons, archery, and firearms. Custom
home construction. Taxidermist, craftsman, modeler, & avid
outdoorsman. Designer and fabricator of props, sets, and costumes.
